Rimante Songailaite

SEN Coordinator

Rimante joins Repton after several years of international teaching, supporting both primary and secondary students from all age ranges and abilities.

Originally from Lithuania, Rimante moved to the United Kingdom for her degree and completed Masters in Advanced Psychology at University of Plymouth. She has also completed a Master's level International Award for SEN Coordination qualification through Middlesex University.

She and her husband Paul (Teacher of Science) decided to teach internationally and over the last eight years Rimante has supported students education as a Learning Support Coordinator at Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar, a prestigious boarding school in Malaysia, as well as being a boarding house tutor.

She moved to Europe and became SENCo in Cambridge International School Bratislava, in Slovakia, where she has supported a range of different needs, as well as supporting students when accessing exams; across Primary, iGCSE and A-Level.

Rimante builds strong relationships with her colleagues, students and families. She believes that everybody deserves equitable education and strives to support all students to achieve their full potential, both academically and pastorally.

In her spare time, Rimante enjoys reading, hiking and travelling the world with her husband. She also enjoys a good makan!

Rimante joins us as a SENCo and is very excited to be part of the Repton family.
