Lewis hails from Sussex in the UK, and started in education following on from stints at Durham University, studying Classics, and the University of Law, studying Law. Lewis then subsequently received his PGCE from Buckingham University, and has taught both Primary and Secondary age students in the UK.

Malaysia will be his first placement internationally. He is passionate about photography, and has completed expeditions around the world from Madagascar to Iceland, snapping wildlife and landscapes in particular. He is also a keen boxer and rugby player, and hopes to keep up these sports in Malaysia. Lewis will have a Year 6 class this year and is looking forward to working in the environment of diversity and excellence for which Repton's Family of Schools is known.
