Malaysia has many reputable international schools that offer quality education at every level of a pupil’s life, from preschool all the way to A Level. When making a choice of which school to enrol in, do consider the type of syllabus that’s right for your child. Also an important consideration is to choose a programme or curriculum that’s recognised by tertiary education institutions that you may already be planning for. Many choose programmes such as the IGCSE since it is widely recognised the world over.   A Guideline To Applying To International Schools Malaysia   Step 1: Submit an application to the

Thinking of checking out some international schools in Malaysia as a study destination? That’s an excellent choice, with plenty of good reasons to boot. Ranked by UNESCO as the 11th most preferred study destination in the world, Malaysia is fast developing into an education hub that offers high quality education at a fraction of the cost compared to the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and in Europe. Academic grades are no longer enough; education must be enriched with practical skills for pupils to flourish in their future careers. Technological and economic advances are shaping our world at an incomprehensibly rapid pace, especially when it comes to artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, genetic engineering, algorithms and biology. Such developments mean that today’s pupils young need to complete school and university with more than a selection of academic qualifications. Grades are no longer enough for young people to thrive in modern careers, which often require increasingly demanding digital and practical skills. The Telegraph in the UK has reported that:

IGCSE Physics Examination Preparation Tips

One of the toughest subjects offered by Cambridge is physics. IGCSE physics exams are tough and a great challenge for students around the world. An understanding of physics theory is very important and students should know how these concepts and theories are applied numerically and conceptually to solve a particular problem. In order to overcome the difficulty of the physics exam, students should do enough preparations. At Repton, our specialist teachers provide our Year 11 students support such as after-school revision sessions, weekend revisions/coursework sessions, power lectures, and walking–talking mock examinations.

Four ways to improve your grade in IGCSE Physics

1. Read the question carefully. Many students fail to answer the actual question set. Perhaps they misread the question or answer a similar question they have seen before. Read the question once right through and then again more slowly. Some students underline or highlight keywords in the question as they read it through. Questions at IGCSE contain a lot ofinformation. You should be concerned if you are not using the information inyour answer.

2. Give enough detail. If a part of aquestion is worth three marks you should make at least three separate points.Be careful that you do not make the same point three times. Draw diagrams witha ruler and label with straight lines.

3. Correct use of scientific language/physics concepts. There is importantscientific vocabulary you should use. Try to use the correct scientific termsin your answers. The way scientific language is used is often a differencebetween successful and unsuccessful students. As you revise, make a list ofscientific terms you meet and check that you understand the meaning of thesewords. Learn all the definitions. These are easy marks and they reward effortand good preparation.

4. Show your working. All science papers include calculations. Learn a setmethod for solving a calculation and use that method. You should always showyour working in full. Then, if you make an arithmetical mistake, you may stillreceive marks for correct science. Check that your answer is given to thecorrect number of significant figures and give the correct units.
