John has over thirty years of teaching experience, leading English departments and training subject leaders across London in the UK. He moved to working in Malaysia in 2017, first in Putrajaya and now in Johor Bahru

Throughout his career he has trained teachers with the King’s PGCE course, coached new subject leaders, led on a number of significant curriculum programmes and been a school governor.

He has also been a form tutor for five cohorts of students, mentoring them from Year 7-13.

He is a keen writer, publishing poems and prose and also paints in mixed media. His personal passion for understanding other cultures and beliefs strongly influences all of his interests out of school and he is always eager to explore the unexpected, be it in places, music or food.

Vineeta began her career as a lecturer in a prestigious University in India teaching various subjects related to Media and Communication for the Bachelors and Masters programme. Thereafter she ventured into international teaching career and have taught in countries like Malaysia and Qatar. She has been teaching in Malaysia for the past 9 years. She began her career in teaching in an International school in Malaysia as an MYP and IGCSE teacher but soon got promoted to the post of Assistant Head of Department for English. She then took on the role of Head of Department for English, Humanities and other languages before she changed her school and took on the current role as Head of Standards and Assessments.

She loves reading books, listening to music, cooking and dancing.


Ms Stephanie Price

Stephanie graduated with a BA [Hons] Degree from the University of Kent, after which she pursued her PGCE with the University of Cumbria. Her first teaching role was as a cover supervisor with an educational agency in Essex, where she then went on to teach English Literature, English Language and Travel & Tourism.

After teaching there for 5 years, she decided to extend her teaching experience by moving abroad and took up the role as an English teacher at Excelsior International School. She is currently continuing her career here at Repton International School.

As an English teacher she is an avid reader, and often dabbles in a little writing of her own. She also enjoys cooking and discovering new cuisines, and when possible pursues one of her greatest passions - that of horse riding, along with yoga and aerial sports.


Mr Robert Yeo
Chemistry/ICT/Computer Science Senior School Teacher

Robert is from Singapore and has a BSc Hons, Post Graduate Diploma in Education and has taught Chemistry in Victoria Junior College (Year 12 and 13) and School of the Arts (Year 10 to 13) in Singapore. He was the teacher in charge of the PA/AVA club and the HOD for ICT for a few years. In his leisure time he enjoys reading and discovering new ICT developments and programmes.

George attended teachers college in Wellington, New Zealand in 2002 and was trained in the New Zealand Curriculum with an emphasis on Geography, Social Studies and Outdoor Education. He has been a registered teacher since 2003 and his first teaching experience was 5 years as Head of Department for Social Sciences at Karamea Area School (2004-2009) followed by 4 years as TIC Classical Studies at Kamo High School in Whangarei (2009-2013). In 2013 he accepted a role as IB Geography teacher at Stonehill International School in Bengaluru, India. Then moved to Myanmar in 2014 to take a Head of Department Role for Humanities (and TIC Geography & History) at Myanmar International School Yangon (MISY). At MISY the was responsible for the building up of the KS3, IGCSE and AS/A Level Humanities which was highly successful. In 2017 he moved back to Whangarei, New Zealand. In 2020 he accepted the position as Head of Department for Humanities and TIC Geography at Repton Malaysia and have been here since August 2020.

In his spare time George is a keen hiker, gardener and cricket player/coach.


Ms Lindsey Sladek
History Teacher

Lindsey is American and has worked as a teacher in Shanghai, China for four years teaching local/national students history and global perspectives in a public and private school. She has a Bachelor’s of Science – Major: Anthropology, Minor: Biology and a Teaching Certificate: Social Studies – Secondary.

She gained valuable experience from working with non-native English learners there. Students' input and ideas helped her to change her teaching techniques to benefit their learning styles and English ability, along with improving their receptivity towards the material in class. She value’s students’ questions, their ideas, and input and encourages students to embrace cross cultural learning from each other, and to be an active participant in the classroom. While in Shanghai, she was a pastoral coordinator for year 11 students and had the opportunity to work with them to improve their school life experience outside of their classrooms. This past year she has taught IGCSE history, Geography, IB ESS teacher and lower secondary humanities.

In her spare time, she enjoys being outside exploring nature and cities, traveling/learning more about cultures and working on her photography. She also loves baking and cooking. She is really excited for the opportunity to be part of Repton Malaysia!


Ms Sophie Kropman
Head of Sixth Form/IBDP Coordinator

Sophie has worked in the Australian independent school sector and in international schools in the UAE, Germany and now Malaysia. She holds Bachelor Arts and Commerce Degrees and has taught in the Australian curriculum, the IB and now the IGCSE and A level programs in Economics, Business Management, History, Global Politics and Business Studies. Her roles have been as a Head of Department, IBCP Coordinator and IBDP Coordinator, as a member of the SLT. She has also worked for the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority as a subject reviewer, assessment handbook author, and examination panel member for the VCE subject Global Politics, and have authored chapters in various textbooks including Kognity online. Sophie has also taken students on business field trips to Kuala Lumpur, Madrid and Amsterdam, and has been invited to visit many universities including the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta and the Swiss Education Group in Montreux, Switzerland. Sophie is also an MUN director and has taken students to MUN conferences in Munich and at the Hague annually.

She enjoys watching TV shows especially K dramas and horror/thrillers- in fact her favourite genre would probably be dystopian/zombie films and shows


Ms Dominique Perrang

Dominique graduated from South Africa with a B:Ed Honours Degree and spent eight years teaching in South Africa teaching the CAPS curriculum. She served as Head of Department for five years alongside being a Phase head where she monitored curriculum delivery, developed improvement plans, analysed results and implement intervention strategies.

Dominique served as a district tutor assisting underperforming schools in Cape Town to improve their business studies results. Whilst there she was part of a national writers committee for 21st century learning skills emphasizing the fourth industrial revolution through the incorporation of entrepreneurship.

Since joining the school in 2019 she has taught IBDP business management, IGCSE business studies and lower secondary humanities. Furthermore, she is an educational enthusiast and a passionate educator who believes in life learning and the delivery of quality education.

Ms Pei Hui Ting

Pei is Malaysian and completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration. Her passion for teaching started as a part time English teacher in a English Tuition Centre in Taiwan. After returning to her home country, Ms Pei worked as a Mandarin teacher at a preschool. Prior to her position in Repton Malaysia, she taught IB PYP, MYP Mandarin and IGCSE Mandarin Foreign Language in an IB international school in Malaysia for 4 years. She has been teaching Mandarin from Early Year to Senior High School for 9 years and specializes in IGCSE Mandarin Foreign Language and IBDP Mandarin ab initio. Apart from this, she has attended IB PYP, MYP, DP Mandarin Ab initio and Mandarin B various workshops during her teaching years.

In her spare time, Pei enjoys traveling, cooking, planting ,jogging , sport activities and spend time with her family.


Ms Noorul Akmal binti Shafii

Ms Pearl Li

With a Master of Education, an MBA, and has a PGDE and as a British citizen, Pearl has worked in both UK and Hong Kong international schools in the last twenty years as a professional language teacher. She has attended IB Language A and B workshops and got a TESOL certificate. Pearl joined us two years ago. She has experience teaching a range of curriculum including: IB, IGCSE, and GCSE both Cambridge and Edexcel exams and A-levels. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching and delivering the language and cultures in Chinese (Mandarin).

Pearl thoroughly enjoys teaching Chinese and the cultural aspects of it having taught students from foreign learners to native language learners and hopes that they can learn through Chinese to enlighten their horizon in language learning and appreciate different languages and respect diverse cultures.

Outside the classroom, Pearl enjoys table tennis, chess, travelling, reading, Chinese brush paintings, gardening, cooking, writing, swimming, exercising and singing.

In the classroom, he seeks to engage his students by teaching small or large groups and by providing the best support to his students.

Mr Arnaud Germain

Arnaud is French and completed his Masters in teaching French as a Foreign Language and has his PGCE.

Arnaud has worked in the UK, Malawi, Kenya, Egypt, Tanzania and now Malaysia. During these years he has taught students from Y5 in Primary to Y13, teaching GCSE/IGCSE, A’Level and IB DP. He also held various roles such as Form Tutor, Assistant Head of Year, Deputy Principal and Head of faculty.

Arnaud loves the outdoors and is a scuba diving instructor. He played football at club level in 3 different countries as a goalkeeper and coached different age groups since he was 19. He has a passion for wildlife and is an amateur wildlife photographer. Arnaud enjoys travelling with his family and discovering new places and new cultures.

After graduating from Pázmány Péter University in 2012, Dora started her teaching career as an Art History teacher at a local high school in Hungary. In 2018 Dora moved back to her hometown, and for two years she worked as an EAL Teacher at the British International School, Budapest. She joined Repton International School this year as a Secondary EAL Teacher.

Dora truly believes that every student is individual and unique with a range of experiences and talents which, to thrive and flourish, must be recognised and fostered. She is committed to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for her students where they can develop mentally, emotionally, and socially. Dora likes to use different kinds of methods like project-based learning and hands on classroom activities to encourage and motivate her students to be confident when facing new challenges.

Judy is pleased to be teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) at Repton International School, Malaysia. Her experience in curricula includes the English National Curriculum and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), her past positions of responsibility encompasses being a member of senior management and a whole-school EAL Coordinator. She believes in providing the best support to enable students to quickly improve their English language skills in order to access the mainstream British curriculum and be able to work in class independently.

Her interests include travelling, experiencing different cultures, discovering new cuisines, reading and swimming.

Subash has a Master of Education: Major - Educational Leadership; Bachelor of Science: Major – Mathematics. He began his professional career as a software programmer/engineer. After which he entered the teaching profession and taught for a few years in a school in India before moving on to teaching in International schools in Malaysia and Qatar. In addition to teaching IBDP Math, he also teaches Cambridge IGCSE Math and Add Math for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 3. Apart from his teaching responsibilities, he is also the Head of Department for Maths. Being exposed to different teaching styles has helped him to find a style that engages students and is always open to the idea of improving as a teacher.

His passion in teaching is to develop, create, and differentiate Cambridge Mathematics year 7-9. Create high quality assessments for semester tests in Maths year 7-9. Implement Cambridge Starters ICT curriculum for grades 1-3, 6-8. Implement grade 6 Humanities curriculum 1 year.

She started her career in Laguna, Philippines and then moved to Manila where she first started teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. As an experienced IBO teacher she has taught across the IB programme (PYP, MYP and DP). She is presently heavily involved with the Cambridge programme (Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and A-Levels) and is holding the position as Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) Coordinator in IB.

He has worked with different cultures and this has allowed him to become more aware of the environment that exists in the workplace. Joel was the recipient of the postgraduate research scholarship - teacher training in Japan under the MONBUKAGAKUSHO (MEXT) Scholarship program from 2007–2009. His IBDP and international teaching experiences, started in Japan as IBDP Physics teacher, JHS Science and Math teacher, EE and CAS supervisor. He also attended the subject specific workshops for Physics, TOK and Internal Assessment. His passion for science is demonstrated in his interest in creating a science educational learning model that seeks to deepen systematic instructional processes to learners in different platforms across the world who are interconnected through modern technology or physical programme exchange while sharing culture and different study approaches.

Makatleho Alletta Leballo

Alleta has over nine years experience in international education related to the IGCSE and IBDP curriculum. She has worked at an international school in Lesotho Machabeng College International school of Lesotho, occupying different leadership positions related to IGCSE coordination, and CIS (Council of international schools) accreditation as well. She has an abundance of IBDP short courses in relation to chemistry and TOK, as well as Ontario International school leadership courses that set the tone for her professional practice in the classroom. Currently, she is working on her MEd program in Inclusive education, which is one of her passions as an educator, researcher and lifelong learner. As the dynamics of education practice change, one aspect remains important, education being accessible to all.

Mr Lajos Papp

Lajos first teaching role was in Budapest, Hungary teaching the Hungarian NC, KS4 NC Biology in English and IBDP Biology at both levels. He then joined an International school in Budapest teaching KS3 Science, KS4 IGCSE Biology and IBDP Biology. At his last International School in Budapest, he taught KS4 IGCSE Biology and IBDP Biology. He has been an assistant examiner marking IBDP exam papers over 20 years.

Mr Lee Choon Mon
Head of Performing Arts

Mon Graduated from the Raffles College of Music with and went on to further his studies in Applied Music (Major in Performances/Directing) at Dundalk Institute of Technology and graduated with First Class Honours. He obtained his Master in Conducting from The Royal Academy of Music London.

Renowned conductors such as David Brophy, Sir Simon Rattle, Thomas Benedict and Annalisa Monticelli mentored him during his studies. He was nominated as “One of the Best Romantic Period Youth Conductor” for his performance of Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture” and Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture”.

In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious “Michael Van Dessel Choral Conducting Scholar Award”. He was Deputy Conductor of London philharmonic orchestra and his musical experience took him to Singapore, Ireland, Hungary and the UK, as well as in Malaysia, where he conducted performances, directed musicals and operas.


Ms Nadine Montille

Nadine was born in Mauritius and has over 19 years of international teaching experience.

She completed her B.A [hons] Fine Arts in 2001 followed by the Cambridge PDQ in Teaching & Learning. After spending several years teaching in India, Malaysia and Mauritius, she joined Excelsior International School in 2019 from Peninsula International School Australia, where she was the VCE Head of Visual Arts. Her previous experience in Malaysia was as the Head of Art at Taylor's International School and the Asia Pacific International School.

She has extensive training in the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge IGCSE and is an IB examiner in Visual Arts. Nadine is fully bilingual in French and English and enjoys teaching French to students in the schools where she has been employed.

As a professional Artist for over 20 years, she has held exhibitions in Florence, The Czech Republic, Lebanon, Seychelles, Mauritius and Australia. Her work is frequently exhibited on online art galleries around the globe. In her leisure time Nadine enjoys travelling, photography and spending time with her family.


Mr Simon Story
Art & Design/Design Technology teacher

Simon has over 25 years teaching experience in primary, secondary and tertiary art education in the UK, India and here in Malaysia.
He has a BA (Hons) 3D design, and CELTA qualifications. The past four-years he has been teaching Art and Design at the school and encouraging the creative side of our students. He enjoys the opportunity of developing the visual art curriculum for primary and middle years and is excited to have been given the opportunity to develop the design thinking skills of our pupils. Other interests include: cinema, and videography.

Mr Andres Martinez
Physical Education Teacher

Andres attended the University of Hawaii Manoa and acquired his Bachelors in Kinesiology. He then continued his studies at Framingham University and obtained his Masters in International Education. Moving to Johor Bahru in 2019 to teach P.E and swimming, He also taught in Bangkok for 3 years prior to his arrival in Johor.

His reason why he became a P.E teacher was because he has enjoyed a very active lifestyle all his life and believes that healthy eating and exercise are huge benefits in maintaining well being and balance in our lives.

His passion and what he always looks forward to is sports and the outdoors. His favourite sports are football and running and he plays football twice a week and also runs a few kilometres a week.


Selamat Sairi
Physical Education Teacher

Selamat joined Repton earlier in the year, having gained five years experience teaching the Diploma in Sports Studies at UiTM and other in private colleges and schools in Malaysia. He also has experience in the teaching of Malay Language subjects, Moral Education and History.

In his recreational time Selamat enjoys outdoor activities such as water rafting, hiking, camping and Jungle trekking and the major sports of Badminton and Softball.
