Understanding Earthquakes

Despite working from home once again, we have been having some wonderful learning experiences in Year 5B! As part of our new Geography topic we have been researching earthquakes that have happened around the world and what causes them to occur. As part of this topic we have found out many wonderfully intriguing facts. For example, did you know that on average there was 55 earthquakes a day worldwide? The children in 5B have been keenly tracking earthquakes worldwide and letting the class know when they find another one! We even discovered one yesterday that measured 5.5 on the Richter scale! It's been fantastic to see the passion for Geography on show in Year 5 and I hope it continues for a long time yet!
