This term students have done great work studying urban environmental sustainability and putting their ideas into practice. As of April 22, we have planted 36 fruit trees in the garden area at the back of the school, cleared the area for creating box gardens and we’re in the process of building an 8 metre wide geodesic dome which will be used as an outdoor classroom for environmental studies.The project continues with students driving change – new ideas will be presented to the school for consideration and, if they are doable and worthwhile, will happen. Geography students are learning about planning, impact assessment and development all by doing.
